Where and when is the race on?
When: Saturday the 15th December 2012 @ 2pm Where: The Santa Run will start and finish in Killarney Town Centre. Full details of the route will be announced over the coming weeks. Time: Race starts @ 2pm. All Participants to collect your Santa Hats at the registration office in the Killarney between 12noon and 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon. This year we have teamed up with Kerry Stars special Olympics team.
If you would like to raise money for this great charity please contact us for a sponsorship Card or contact Kerry Stars directly and they will give you a sponsorship card.
The Kerry Stars Stars Special Olympics Club was formed in September 2002 by a group of families. Its objective was and still is to provide athletes with special needs the opportunity to be productive and respected members of society through participation in an all year round sports and competition programme. This in turn creates a more positive self image, inclusion, enjoyment and new friendships for the athletes.
There is at present 50 athletes in the Kerry Stars club and they come from the Killarney, East Kerry and Mid Kerry area.
What are the prizes?
There will be cash prizes / vouchers in the following categories:- 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and female across the line
- Best dressed Santa
- Best dressed Santa's little helpers
What Route does the race take
The fun run starts and finishes in Killarney Town.
Full details of the route will be posted on the web site in the coming weeks.
The route will be officially measured. Full results will be available on line after the event.

The Christmas in Killarney 5k Santa run is great value fun for all the family. It is the perfect opportunity for you, your family, your friends and your work colleagues get out there and be active this Christmas.
Grab your running shoes, your Santa suit and most importantly your Christmas Spirit, and join us in Killarney for a great day out.
After the race there will be Christmas banter, entertainment & finger food. All U18's who finish the race will receive a customised finisher’s medal from a local celebrity.

What is the schedule for the day
12noon – 1.30am Collect your Santa hat at registration desk in the Killarney. 2pm Fun Run will start in Killarney Town centre. 2.30am – 3.30pm All runners and walkers arrive back at finish line. All finishers will be presented with a customised Santa Run medal. 3.30pm Presentation of prizes and entertainment. There will be limited registration on the morning of the race. If you register on the morning of the race you will not be guaranteed a Santa Hat.
